El Dr. Mesa es un Cirujano Plástico Cosmético Hispano (Colombiano) certificado por el “Board” de Cirugía Plástica de los EEUU, que recientemente abrió sus oficinas tanto en la Ciudad de Nueva York ( Manhattan) como en New Jersey. El recibió su titulo de Medico (M.D.) en la Universidad de Antioquia, en Medellín, Colombia. Al terminar sus estudios de medicina, emigró a los Estados Unidos para realizar estudios de Cirugía. Inicialmente entrenó en Cirugía General en la Universidad de Harvard (Harvard Medical School) y luego se especializó en Cirugía Plástica en la Universidad del Estado de Pensilvania (Penn State University). Luego, realizó dos postgrados de sub-especialización (fellowships) en dos universidades de gran prestigio a nivel nacional e internacional. Su primera sub-especialización fue en Cirugía Craniofacial (Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship) en la Universidad de Michigan ( Ivy league university) y su segunda sub-especialización fue Cirugía Estética (Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship) con énfasis en cara, senos y cuerpo, en la Universidad de Alabama de Birmingham.
